Phase 3 Lots — Now Selling

Edgefield, Strathmore

Where Strathmore is growing. Schools and recreation a five-minute stroll away, scenic hiking and biking trails, green spaces and water features winding through the community — and Highway 1 access that puts Calgary 30 minutes away, with new homes priced the way Chestermere was five years ago.

Why Edgefield

The last affordable new-home community near Calgary that's still rising

Strathmore's detached benchmark rose 4.4% over the last year (CREB, June 2026) — the only gain among communities around Calgary. Edgefield Phase 3 is where the town's growth is concentrated, and where the next chapter gets built.

  • Suite-ready basement options — offset your mortgage with rental income
  • George Freeman School (K–9) on Edgeview Road — a walk from your front door

Life in Edgefield

A five-minute walk to most of what you need

Edgefield sits on Strathmore's east side, off George Freeman Trail with direct Highway 1 access — schools, groceries and recreation are all close enough to walk or drive in minutes.

Schools

George Freeman School (K–9, Golden Hills School Division) is on Edgeview Road at the north edge of Edgefield — walking distance from your front door, with its own field house and gym. Older students attend Strathmore High School, and Holy Cross Collegiate (7–12) serves Catholic families in town.

Recreation

The Strathmore Motor Products Sports Centre has two full gymnasiums, a five-lane indoor walking track, indoor turf and a batting cage. The Family Centre Arena runs both Olympic and NHL-size ice, and the Centennial Aquatic Centre has a six-lane 25 m pool with a diving board and climbing wall.

Everyday Shopping

Co-op Edgefield — grocery, pharmacy and gas — is a short walk from the Phase 3 lots, which is rare for a brand-new community. Sobeys, the Ranch Market shopping centre, restaurants and services are all a few minutes away by car.

Getting Around

Highway 1 is minutes from the community, putting Calgary about 30 minutes west and Chestermere closer still. Inside Edgefield, hiking and biking trails, green spaces and water features connect the neighbourhood — with open eastern prairie views from the back of many lots.

School attendance areas are set by the school divisions and can change — please confirm current boundaries with Golden Hills School Division.
